Good morning! This is the first time that I've blogged while on vacation. I'm traveling with my significant other (boyfriend/ girlfriend sounds so odd at our age), and our combined clan of children (5 all together). I know that many people take off workout and healthy eating while on vacation, but that actually makes my body feel bad so...as I talk about here a lot; it's all about moderation! I cut back on the amount I workout...But i still do workout. I continue to try clean eating...but I love a good sundae and a nibble of fried clams from my kids. Having a taste satisfies my urges without feeling awful in an hour from eating a food my body just doesn't tolerate well anymore.
How do I manage the workout part while in a rental house in a small town? I have these travel weights called aquabells. You fill up the individual bags with water and slip on as many as you'd like, to make each barbell up to 16lb each. I also have a set of rubber tubes. My double set has a rubber tube that can be slid above, below, or on the side of a dorr for a variety of exercises. With these travel exercise things, I can get quite a bit done. For the cardio portion, the small kids and I ran up and down the cul de sac street, and went swimming.
